THE TRUMPET
Hosea 8:1 “Set the trumpet to your lips! [The enemy] comes as a [great] vulture against the house of the Lord, because they have broken my covenant and transgressed against my law.”
The message is a call to each one that will heed the call to prepare as soldiers would prepare for war. To put on the full armor of light as to stand fully equipped against the dominion of darkness in these last days. The mandate is to equip and make ready a people for the soon return of their King.
NOT BY MIGHT, NOR BY POWER, BUT ONLY BY THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD.
Zechariah 4:1-6
1. And the angel who talked with me came again and AWAKENED me, like a man who is awakened out of his sleep.
2. And said to me, What do you see? I said I see and behold, a lampstand all of gold, with its bowl [for oil] for oil on the top of it and its seven lamps on it, and [there are] seven pipes to each of the seven lamps which are upon the top of it.
3. And there are two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl and the other upon the left side of it [FEEDING IT CONTINUOUSLY WITH OIL].
4. So I asked the angel who talked with me, What are these, my Lord?
5. Then the angel who talked with me, answered me, Do you not know what these are? And I said, No, my Lord.
6. Then he said to me, This [addition of the bowl to the candlestick, causing it TO YIELD A CEASELESS SUPPLY OF OIL from the olive trees] is the Word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, saying, NOT BY MIGHT, NOT BY POWER, BUT BY MY SPIRIT [of whom the oil is a symbol], says the Lord of hosts.
Revelation 2:1
To the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Ephesus write: These are the words of Him who holds the seven stars [which are the messengers of the seven churches] in His right hand, WHO GOES ABOUT AMONG THE SEVEN GOLDEN LAMP STANDS [which are the seven churches]:
Revelation 2:4-5
4. But I have this [one charge to make] against you: THAT YOU HAVE LEFT (abandoned) THE LOVE THAT YOU HAD AT FIRST [you have deserted me your first love],
5. Remember then from what heights you have fallen. Repent (change the inner man to meet God’s will) and do the works you did previously [when first you knew the Lord], or else I WILL VISIT YOU and REMOVE YOUR LAMPSTAND from its place unless you CHANGE YOUR MIND and repent.
When Jesus spoke to the church in Ephesus and said, I have this one charge to make against you, that you have left the love you had at first, He was not speaking of them abandoning the love they had for Him. That would be like saying we can rely on our love toward Him. How can we ever, rely on, or trust in our love toward Him? There is only one thing we can truly rely on and trust in and that is the Father's love toward us. The love that was poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. This is the reason that He said it is expedient for you that I go away, for if I go not away I cannot send the promise of the Father, the Holy Spirit who will come unto you. He was speaking of the Father's love for us that was poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Father's gift of love to those who believe, it is His seal upon them to mark them as belonging to Him, it is His divine power given to keep them until the end. He was saying you do not have the Holy Spirit within your church, and you no longer have the Holy Spirit within your hearts, you might have started in the Spirit but now you are in the flesh. He said to them remember when you first believed, remember the total acceptance and the love that you felt, remember that feeling when the love of the Father was poured out into your hearts through the Holy Spirit. Remember how you relied on and trusted in the gift of grace to save you and keep you. But now you are doing all these outward activities, you are laboring and toiling, you are patiently enduring and are bearing up for My Name’s sake and you have not fainted or given up, but the problem I have with you is that you are now relying on and trusting in the flesh. You believe you can reach perfection by depending on the flesh. Do you not see that inwardly you are as dead men’s bones in the grave, all your good works are as filthy rags before a holy God, you can never please Him. You have left the higher life, you have fallen from grace, you treat the gift of grace as unimportant, and you have deserted and grieved the Holy Spirit because of your heart attitude and you do not even realize that He has departed from you.
He was saying to them change your mind and repent. Change the inner man to meet God's will. You have to be born of the Spirit and live the life of the Spirit being led by the Spirit and walking after Him. I urge you to repent and ask the Holy Spirit to return to your church and to return to your life for I tell you without Him, without the gift of grace, without the promise of the Father, without the divine power, the divine ability, the divine provision you will never please the Father, you will never be accepted and you will never overcome.
He was saying to them, if you do not change your mind and repent and receive the gift of grace, the Holy Spirit, once again, I will visit you, and I will remove your lampstand from its place. For if you do not have the Holy Spirit your lampstand is of no use for the oil that gives light to the lampstand is the Holy Spirit and He is the oil that will continually feed the lampstand. He is the grace and He is the grace upon grace, the abounding grace, and the superabounding grace that will keep you and bring you into your complete redemption. Without Him you will no longer have the brilliant light of the presence of God, therefore you will never experience the glory of God in your church or in your life. It is by grace, the divine power and ability of God that you have been saved, that you have been accepted and it is by grace, the divine power and ability of God that you will go from glory to glory until the complete redemption of your soul. It will be not by might, nor by power, but by the Holy Spirit of God! Again I say to you, do not grieve the Holy Spirit for He is all you have!
Jesus' anger against the church of Ephesus was met with a stern warning that should they not CHANGE THEIR MIND AND REPENT, He would go as far as to remove their lampstand from its place. This was a serious consequence, for when the lampstand is removed the Holy Spirit can never return, which means they have fallen so far and their conscience has become so seared that God will give them over to a debased mind, they will lose their position and their dignity. Again I say to you, do not grieve the Holy Spirit for He is all you have! He is the seal upon every man that marks us as belonging to God. Without His seal the Lord Jesus Christ will not recognize you, or any church as belonging to Him. It is not our programs, projects or magnificent church buildings, or amount of members or financial status, or fame that marks us or our churches as belonging to Him. It is not the number of followers or subscribers to our channels or live broadcasts, nor the number of likes that marks you or your church as belonging to Him.
Wake up church! It is only the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives and in our church that marks us as belonging to Him. Do you want the glory and power of God to manifest in your life and church? Do you want God to move in miracles, signs, and wonders? Give the Holy Spirit back control of the church and the pulpit and yield your life completely to Him and give Him full control over your life.
