All too often our mind makes "leaps" in perspective or meaning which have never been said explicitly; have never been precisely laid out with specific facts. And, sadly, we can do that with scripture too. So it is vital to not go - beyond - what is actually said in a verse or passage, unless God places the truth in other scriptures. In this teaching we start to learn how to apply this rule . . . The Explicit will interpret the Implicit.

The first principle of interpretation is "scripture will interpret scripture". It should become a knee jerk reflex when we have a question about a passage, or verse, or statement. We should instantly find scripture that co - relate to the topic God is revealing to us.

Scripture is universal, given to anyone and everyone who will read it and receive from God. However, scripture is not open to our personal interpretation, it is God's truth and meant to be received as that trutn.
