12 Weeks of Prayer: Week 2 Day 2

12 Weeks of Prayer Week 2 Day 2

God Delivers His People

By Eddie Masih

Minister of the Gospel, Music & Worship Leader

"Have a pole set up, reaching to a height of fifty cubits, and ask the king in the morning to have Mordecai impaled on it. Then go with the king to the banquet and enjoy yourself."

Esther 5:14

"A pole reaching to a height of fifty cubits stands by Haman's house. He had it set up for Mordecai, who spoke up to help the king." The king said, "Impale him on it!"

Esther 7:9

Dear Precious People of God, I am thankful to God for giving new opportunities to connecting with you once again through writing. I was completely blank in my mind and had no thoughts when I logged into my computer when I went to write this devotional. I went to the inbox to read the topic once again, and the moment I read it, immediately the Holy Spirit showed me very clearly Esther, Mordecai and Haman. I had no idea what to pen, but the Holy Spirit who equipped my spirit and led me to bring forth what I am about to share.

Let me start with this, the devil is a liar, and deception and manipulation are his devices. The devil can try playing his game and try planning plots over us, but he cannot touch us because we are covered by the blood of Jesus. However, if we still see our brothers and sisters in Christ being tormented and suppressed by the devil, it’s because in some areas of their lives, they lack discernment and are ignorant of the devices of the devil.

The bible records, in Esther 3:6, that Haman looked for a way to destroy all Mordecai's people, the Jews, throughout the whole kingdom of Xerxes. Haman was operating in the spirit of anger, jealousy, envy, and started plotting schemes to vanish God’s own people from the face of the Earth, forgetting that “God is with His people” ALWAYS. When Esther heard about the evil plan, she declared fasting and urged her people to pray for her. Esther was the hope for the Jews. She was acting as the bridge between the King Xerxes and the Jews. In other words, she was standing in the Gap. This is the gap of hope, the gap of intercession, the gap of deliverance, the gap of destroying the evil. Today, when God led us to praying for His people, we are standing in the same gap where Esther was standing. God has given us this opportunity, entrusting us, that we will stand faithful with Him in His plans and in His visions.

Esther 5:14 says, "Have a pole set up, reaching to a height of fifty cubits, and ask the king in the morning to have Mordecai impaled on it. Then go with the king to the banquet and enjoy yourself." Haman planned to hang Mordecai to death, but Esther exposed the truth about Haman before the King. The evil one was exposed; evil plans were exposed. Today, when we are presenting ourselves before God, seeking His face in prayer, the evil one shall be exposed. He shall be put to shame; he will come from one way and will flee from seven. Later what happens in Esther 7:9 "A pole reaching to a height of fifty cubits stands by Haman's house. He had it set up for Mordecai, who spoke up to help the king." The king said, "Impale him on it!" Hallelujah! The pole that Haman had erected for Mordecai, the King orders to hang him on it. Haman fell in his own trap. The deceiver was deceived in his deception. Wow!

Haman died but the spirit of Haman is in action in this world even today. History tells us how Hitler killed thousands of Jews in the Holocaust. How? Because he was being led by the spirit of Haman, and we all know what his end was. The ones moving in the spirit of Haman have a terrible end. It was God who used Esther to deliver His people. The Bible tells us that He is yesterday today and forever the same. What He had done in the days of Esther, He shall do it again through you and me today. Are you ready to destroy him? God has anointed you to destroy the works of the devil. Let’s do it together to establish the Kingdom of God.

Dear Heavenly Father, we thank You for You have anointed us far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age, but also in the one to come. We exercise our authority and rebuke the spirit of deception, the spirit of manipulation, and the spirit of lying in the name of Jesus. Father, Your word says what we bind on earth shall be bound in the heaven; we bind the spirit of deception, manipulation and lying in the name of Jesus. Take your hands off from my people, from my city and from my nation in Jesus' name. Your word says what we release on earth shall be released in the heavens. We release the spirit of deliverance, salvation, enlightenment, truth, favor, and hope in our nations in the name of Jesus. We declare our nations free in the name of Jesus. Father, we believe it is done. In Jesus' name, Amen.
