12 Weeks Of Prayer. Week 2 Day 3

12 Weeks of Prayer Week 2 Day 3

The Gates of Hell Will Not Prevail Against the Church

In these last days the Church of Jesus Christ is under constant attack due to the stands the Church takes to keep the teachings of Christ relevant in this day and age. The Church ever since its inception back in biblical times has been pressured, questioned, and persecuted for taking the message of Christ to all nations. However, as we are seeing prophecy unfold before our eyes, the Church has become the target of choice for the enemy to uproot and destroy it, but we as Christians know that those who try and attack what the Lord has ordained will fail and be destroyed. Let's us see what the bible says about praying for the protection of His Church. It says in the Gospel of Matthew 16:18(KJV) "And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." This simple verses explains the protection the Church has over itself. Christ here is telling Peter that no matter what happens, no matter what attack the Church is protected. But it is still up to us a Christians to pray for the protection of the Church as well rebuking any spirit that might try and rise up against the Church. My Brothers and Sisters, do not be afraid to go and stand up in prayer for the Church. We must always keep the Church in constant prayer. The hope I leave with you today is simple: Keep your faith strong, and keep praying for the Lord's protection over his Church. Dear Lord, I thank you for the protection You have over Your Church, and I bind every possible attack that might come to disturb what You have called Your Church to do. Lord, I thank You again. In name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen!
