12 Weeks of Prayer Week 3 Day 7
Praying For The Church To Receive Revelation
By Justin N. Citro
"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above,
and cometh down from the Father of lights,
with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."
James 1:17
As we conclude the third week of prayer, I would like to finish with what it means to receive and put into effective use what God has given to us, His people. God does not give words or revelations without meaning or purpose. Instead, He expects us to put them into action for many a word has been spoken but not a lot of action taken. When a revelation is given to the believer, it opens a whole new world of thinking and answers questions and prayers that have been asked in your mind repeatedly, and once you received the breakthrough, it feels like the entire world has been lifted from your shoulders. Now let's go to the Word and see what the Word says about using revelations. The Bible says in the Book of James 1:17 KJV, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." This passage is talking about every gift that comes down from God the Father is good; this can also be applied to receiving revelations for a revelation is a type of gift from the Lord. You see, Brothers and Sisters, the Lord provides these gifts to His people not only for our benefit but for His because the Lord only gifts revelation to His people that will bring glory to Him, edify the church, and edify you as well. However, be warned, Brothers and Sisters, the devil himself can also disguise his voice to make it seem like it is from God when it is not. My Hope for you, My Brethren, is to make sure you are right with the Lord, and repent if you have sinned against Him and make sure you use discernment when praying to make certain you are hearing from the Lord! Heavenly Father, I thank you and praise you. Father, I am in filled gratitude for the revelations You give to Your people. I thank You for giving me a revelation, Lord, and I ask that You continue using me to complete Your work. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
