12 Weeks of Prayer Week 4 Day 2

12 Weeks of Prayer Week 4 Day 2

Victory For The Church

By Justin N. Citro

"But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."

1 Corinthians 15:57 KJV

The topic that we will be discussing is Victory for the Church. Victory is a powerful word. In our Christian faith, we can have victory in every situation if we listen and obey the Lord for when we the children of God listen and obey victory is sure for us! However, sometimes, victory does not come to the Church, and the question here is "why does the Church not receive victory?" This is the question that we will be diving into today. There are several reasons why the Church does not receive. One reason is the fact that Church is afraid to preach the full truth of who God is and what the Bible says about the character and nature of God. The church is also guilty of many other things, but The Church who does walk in the way of the Lord is not only blessed for doing things correctly in the eyes of God but also victorious, and remember obedience brings forth victory. Now let us see what the Bible says about Victory. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 15:57 (KJV), "But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." Here this verse explains to us Christians the simple truth that without Christ we have no victory! Christ is not only our Victor, but we are victorious through Him to face any given kind of situation whether it be sickness, hardship, depression, and other things we have victory in Christ for He has overcome (1 John 5:4). The Lord also expects us to be humble and just before Him for the Lord cannot work in a Christian who does things his way. To receive the total victory in Christ for this life, we must surrender all. My hope I leave you all with today, Brothers and Sisters, is something that I keep repeating, and that is to make sure you are in right standing before the Lord because if you are, the Lord shall grant you victory, but woe to you who are not in right standing before the Lord for the Lord commands that we are to be upright before him. Heavenly Father, I thank You and praise You. I thank You for the Victory You have given us through Christ. Father, forgive me if I am not in correct standing with You. I want to be right with You, O Lord. Lord, give me the strength to do so. In Jesus' Name, Amen!
