12 WEEKS OF PRAY WEEK 4 DAY 3

VICTORY FOR THOSE WHO HAVE CHOSEN TO SERVE THE LORD

By Justin N. Citro

"What sorrow for those who say

that evil is good and good is evil,

that dark is light and light is dark,

that bitter is sweet and sweet is bitter."

Isaiah 5:20

For the members of the Church, Victory is hard to find nowadays for there are some church members who feel like Christ is not the center of the Church but more like a side character.

Let me explain: Some people who claim to be Christians seek worldly advice rather than seeking advice from the Scriptures. Some people go to a psychic to find out about their future or who they will marry. Some people participate in yoga claiming that they had no clue it was demonic because it had the word "Christian" draped over it. Then, the same people who consult psychics and other forms of divination as well as participating in the Eastern Meditation Philosophies such as yoga, go to church, pretending to be godly, expecting God to hear and grant them victory. However, we are told in Isaiah 5:20, "What sorrow for those who say that evil is good and good is evil, that dark is light and light is dark, that bitter is sweet and sweet is bitter." The Lord will not grant us victory when we are not living the way the Lord expects us to live; what the Lord calls evil is evil and what the Lord calls good is good. He expects us to walk in holiness and righteousness. It is only when we are walking in holiness and righteousness, remaining in Him, walking with Him, and obeying His commands that we have victory.

If the Church desires to see more breakthroughs, the Church must start enforcing the true and godly way to live. Brothers and Sisters, if you are living in an ungodly manner, how I ask you, are you going to receive victory?

Let us go into the Word and see what the Bible says about living correctly before The Lord. The Bible says in 1 Peter 2:21 KJV, "For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps." This small verse in 1 Peter outlines exactly how Christ told us to live, that we were called unto Christ. What this means is Christ called us to be like Him in His image (1 Cor 11:1), and the second part of this verse means Christ suffered for us leaving us an example that we should follow Him.

Following Christ is not easy to do, but it is necessary for victory to overcome the powers that rule this world. The Bible gives us clear instructions on how to receive victory in life, but if we do not follow the teachings of both the Old and New Testaments how are we going to find Victory? Again, it is all up to you to make the correct choice. My Hope I leave with you today is this: If you have made the wrong choices in life and you need a major victory, there is one option, and that is repentance for when you repent and ask to be forgiven of our sins and live how Christ commands us to, then you will see the Victory come forth. Heavenly Father, I thank You and praise You for this day. Lord, I come to You now asking for repentance. I repent of all my sins. Father, I thank You for all that You are doing for You are in control. In Jesus' Name, Amen!
