THE SEPARATION OF THE GOOD AND THE EVIL

James 4:17
As we are continuing our 12 weeks of prayer the subject for this week is the end-time prophecy of the sheep being separated from the goats. The whole point of this prophecy is talking about the parting between good and evil, and in these last days, there are goats going out among the sheep causing the sheep to go astray from the shepherd and getting the sheep to become caught up and confused between right and wrong. These last days are perilous times for a new Christians and for the seasoned Christian. Confusion is running rampant, and that is why knowing between right and wrong is important.
Now let us go into the question of why it is important to know the difference between right and wrong. The difference between right and wrong can sometimes be hard to tell apart; that's when discernment from the Holy Spirit comes into play for the Holy Spirit gives us the ability to discern good and evil. The Bible says in James 4:17 KJV, "Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin." This simple verse inspires the truth that if we know what is right in the eyes of God and don't do it, it's a sin, and the same principle applies if we know something is wrong and don't stand up for what is right, we are also sinning. The Lord expects His people to take strong stands for the Truth of His Word, and if don't take those stands, why do we call ourselves Christians? The danger of being a casual Christian is all too common in modern life. Instead of being casual, we must be on fire for God! The hope I give you, Brothers and Sisters, is this: Ask the Lord for discernment and build yourself up on the Word so you may be able to tell what is right and wrong, for this is key for the survival of the end-time Christian. Heavenly Father, I thank You and praise You. Father, I ask for discernment to know good from evil that I might be counted with the sheep and not the goats. Help me to understand Your Word so I can know the difference between right and wrong. Forgive me for the times I have not stood up for what is right in Your sight. In Jesus' Name, Amen!
