12 Weeks of Prayer Week 5 Day 5

12 Weeks of Prayer Week 5 Day 5

EVIL CAN MAKE ITSELF LOOK GOOD

By Justin N. Citro

"Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee."

Psalm 119:11

Throughout recorded history including the biblical age, evil has made itself sound like it is good and just when it only gives the illusion that is. For when evil has control of anything, havoc ensues, and then, discord happens when goats rule. When goats rule, we see acts that are appalling in the sight of God. The Bible says in the Book of Isaiah 5:20 KJV, "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" This short passage highlights the point of when evil rules. You see once something evil is called good there is almost no changing it. The Bible also tells in the gospel of Matthew 24:24 that deception would be evident in the world and deception is now being called "truth" in these last days.

How can evil make the believer turn their back on what is correct and just? There are some Christians out there who recognize certain evils in this world, but they don't do anything about it. Then the question that needs to be asked here is why are Christians not standing up for the truth? The answer is simple: if sin and evil are evident in your life and you do not repent or ask the Lord to help you, you simply remain complacent. The only cure to get rid of evil in your life is through the Lord Jesus Christ, by repenting and turning away from that evil. The hope I leave with you is this, Brothers and Sisters: Never let evil infiltrate your home and your life. Instead, put on the amor of God and remain diligent in studying His Word for when we as Christians study His Word, we are becoming stronger in knowing His truth. Also, when we are studying His Word, we are hiding His Word in our heart that we might not sin against Him. Heavenly Father, I thank You for this day. Lord, I ask for protection for my life and this nation. More than ever, we need Your wisdom in this evil time. I repent before You if I have let evil into my life. Father, please forgive me, watch over us and protect us. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
