12 Weeks of Prayer Week 6 Day 3

SEEK GOD'S COUNSEL & STAND

By Justin N. Citro

"Who will rise up for me against the evildoers?

or who will stand up for me against

the workers of iniquity?"

Psalm 94:16

As Christians, it is important that we practice self-defense to keep ourselves guarded against the principalities of this world, and now principalities come in many ways. One that is most prevalent is misinterpreting what one says to one another. This is a most frequent problem when bringing up the topic of Christianity, and how the bible is preached is one of the problems plaguing the church today. There some who that the Bible is too harsh about certain subjects, those people then get outraged about other people's opinion. That example right there is the wrong type of self-defense. What we as should be outraged about is how certain kinds of Christians are allowing demonic things into the church. The Bible says in Psalms 94:16 KJV, "Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?" What this passage explains is who will stand up against evil? It is our job as Christians to take strong stands, and in some cases defend our faith, for if we don't stand, what is the point? The world loathes us. They see us as hindrances, and what I say to that is good because if the world hates us, it is because they hated Christ first! I am glad that we are a pain in the devil's side for defending what is good and just in the eyes of the Lord! As fellow believers, we must be cautious in what we stand for and we need to ask the Lord for guidance. Brothers and Sisters, I encourage each of us to go before God and ask His advice as to what we must defend, and the Lord will answer us! Heavenly Father, I thank You for everything You have done. I ask that you give me the wisdom for what I must defend in this life, and, Lord, I thank You for protecting me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
