12 Weeks of Prayer Week 8 Day 3

CHRIST MUST BE THE CENTER OF THE FAMILY

By Justin N. Citro

"I will instruct thee and teach thee

in the way which thou shalt go:

I will guide thee with mine eye."

Psalm 32:8

Family betrayal often starts in the home that does not center itself with the mind of Christ. When a family does not center itself with the mind of Christ that opens the door for the enemy to come in and instill thoughts of malice and other harm. Families for generations have always been in constant war with each other, always looking to provoke another one for their own wrongdoing. Instances like that always lead the family unit down a trail of disaster for how can Christ work in a family that is in constant war with each other. What a family must do to prevent trouble and betrayal is to make Christ the center of the family, for a family that is centered on Christ the Solid Rock cannot be moved. The next thing is to ask the Lord for guidance because without proper guidance you are loose cannon. The Bible says in the book of Psalm 32:8 KJV, "I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye." This simple verse in the book of Psalms explains what happens when we fully ask the Lord for guidance; God will always help his children who come to Him for help. This is difficult for the Christian who thinks they know everything there is to know about the Bible. In order to receive help from the Lord, you must humble yourself, and even though that is hard to do, it is necessary for your life to put back on the correct track. Brothers and Sisters, if your life and family are in shambles, get down from your horse and seek the counsel of God, and He will help for we serve a God that does not dismiss His people! Throughout Biblical times, the Lord has always responded to his people when they humble themselves. Heavenly Father, I thank You for everything You have done. Father, I humble myself before You, and I come before You asking for your help. Lord, help me and give me Your guidance and forgive me of my arrogance. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
