12 Weeks of Prayer Week 9 Day 7

Always Put God's Word into Practice in Your Life

By Justin N. Citro

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:

for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth;

to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."

Romans 1:16

I cannot emphasize enough the importance of practicing the Word in our lives so we would not deny ourselves the knowledge of who God is and what His character and nature are. As I have discussed previously the world today for believers is different from 10 or 15 years ago. The world will always be hostile towards those of us who are followers of Christ who stand up for God and for the truth of His Word. While taking these stands, we must make sure that we stay humble and quote the Word correctly because there have been many examples of people taking the Word of God and denying it by changing what it says. We as Christians are not to change what the Word of God says, and when we use the Word of God, we must be careful in quoting it, never changing the meaning of any of the Scriptures we use. Why would anyone want to deny the Word of God? It is because of the pride of man is always trying to gain the lead over God or trying to know better than the Almighty. As we know, no one can gain the lead over the Word of God. In Romans 1:16 KJV, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." What Paul is saying in this verse is this: We as Christians are not ashamed of Christ or the Word of God. So why do Christians deny the Word of God? Why would you deny the Bible? We must stand for Christ and stand for the Word. We do not want to be found lacking or slacking off when Christ comes back for the Body of Believers. We want to be found living in righteousness and holiness, carry out the Will of God for our lives. Brothers and sisters, I encourage you to stay humble, read the Scriptures, and study the Word of God, and stay busy working for the Kingdom of Lord! Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Word. Help me to stay humble and help me to advance Your Kingdom. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
