VICTORY FOR THE LOCAL COURT JUSTICE SYSTEM
5 Days of Prayer Day 27
Written By Linda A. Knowles
“But thanks be to God,
who gives us the victory through
our Lord Jesus Christ.”
1 Corinthians 15:57
We all desire justice. We cry out for justice when we see people unfairly punished or when senseless violence and murder takes place. We hope and pray that innocent get acquitted and that the guilty are punished to the fullest extent of the law. We see and experience injustice every day whether indirectly or not. When injustice is done, it strikes at the very core of our being because we can only wonder what would happen if an injustice were done to us.
There is so much corruption and injustice today. We are left shaking our heads when we hear verdicts or decisions judges and juries have made. We have been left in disbelief when we see the guilty walking around carefree. However, our God is the Great Judge. He is the God who is Ruler over All. He is Omnipotent and Omniscient; this means there is nothing that He does not know and does not see for He is the Almighty Eternal God. He is El Roi, the God Who Sees. Everything is exposed before the eyes of God, and we know our God has given us victory over the local courts and that our God is cleaning house. We know our God is able.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, Your Word says that You uphold Your children with Your righteous right hand. You are perfect, and all Your ways are just. You, O God, are Yahweh Tsidkenu, the Lord Our Righteousness. You are the One Who Acquits the Innocent and Punishes Those Who Are Guilty. We come in Your Holy Name, crying out for Justice and Victory within and over the Judicial System here in the United States of America. Lord, You are the God Who Appoints people into the positions of power they have. In Jesus' Name, we claim victory over the corruption within our judicial system. Father, we know that truth stands the test of time and lies are soon exposed. Bring to justice those who would try to destroy the legal due process, those who would play favorites, those who would try to hide evidence, and ask that You expose those who suppress justice. Fill our courts with righteous judges, Father, who will sit on the seats of local courthouses throughout this country. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
