I am not asking you that you remove them from the world, but I ask you guard their hearts against evil, for they no longer belong to this world any more than I do.
We hold the right to ignore and reject the ways of God, He has given that option to us, but the truth is it’s a ‘trap’, don’t fall for it. God is love, and because of such, He does not force anything on us. However, He has made it very clear to us what the benefits of believing and obeying Him are. The word above tells us that the one who always listens to Him will live undisturbed in heavenly peace. Who then in their right mind does not want to live in that kind of peace? I believe that most of the children of God have not believed the word as it is. That is why some would choose to ignore the voice of God that comes through His word and choose the voice of this world. God is gracious, it may mean that you will only hear Him speak to you on the tenth time. We suffer the results of not listening to God every time we ignore His word in a particular subject of life. What we go through is not even punishment from God more than it is the result of shunning His voice.
We as the children of God will always have to remember that we are not of this world though we are in this world. What that means for us is that we live above the rules, systems, and regiments of this world though there are some we have to observe by virtue of being in this world. Our generation is living in the most advanced ways of this life, technologically and otherwise. It may seem very attractive and make one think they are above it all. One thing though that does not change is the word of God, it doesn't matter how advanced we get we will never be more advanced than the word of God. Remember that He is The Ancient of Days and so is His word. This means in our daily living and application of life we will never overrule the word of God. Whether one is born again or not, believes in God or not, acknowledges God or not, the word of God prevails, and everyone is subjected to this very same word of God.
It pays to listen to God. Amongst the payments are heavenly peace; fearlessness; confidence, courage, and more. Child of God, listen to your Heavenly Father for everything pertaining to the issues of your life. That way you are sheltered from the traps of Satan that come as a blessing, yet they do not carry God.
