Duomo di Milano, You and I
I took these pictures on my trip to Italy. The Duomo di Milano. This morning, as I was spending time before God, reading Psalms 27, was one of the passages as I’m reading the Bible in one year.
Immediately, I felt God say, “How many desire this, to dwell in my house ALL the days of their lives?” Before I could answer this image came before me. The Duomo di Milano. Many people were inside this place. God reminded me what they were doing. Perhaps somewhere like me. I prayed inside there. I prayed God would open the eyes of the people to see His beauty.
You had to pay to get into the church. Imagine that? I’ll just leave that point for another day. We all had one purpose of going in. To look at its physical beauty. Not to pray, not to worship, not to hear a message. Just to look at its beautiful structure. Why? Because none of those things were offered.
People of God take heed. There are two clear messages for the Body of Christ.
First, are you to be found in the House of God seeking His face, desiring to do His will, and hearing what He has to say? Well, let me be clear. When He speaks, your life will never be the same again. It’s no longer you that rules your life, it is Him. You don’t get to live with two desires. Yours and His. Yours gets crucified, nailed to the Cross, and you live a life that is completely lived for His purposes, plans, and desires. A life of godliness, holiness, and righteousness. Let me add, I don’t know a more exciting life than this. I live it, and I don’t want to change it. I desire no other. It is an exciting, exhilarating, miraculous, supernatural, incredible, amazing, and joyful life. It doesn’t matter of all my trials, tribulations, and challenges. My God meets them all because I’m in His presence every second of the day. I choose Him above all else. I have the power of God, through the Holy Spirit to reject, walk away and say No to sin and all tempting, lying, deceiving, demonic powers. I have the power through the Holy Spirit to break every chain.
There’s No place I will rather be but in the presence of God almighty, worshiping the Son of God, Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. Allowing the Holy Spirit to point me to Jesus, and leading me to all of His purposes, and perfect will. I am HIS and HIS ALONE!
Secondly, Spirit Filled, Holy Spirit, serving Jesus Christ individuals don’t just look like this Duomo they are empowered by The Spirit of the Living God and are infused by the Holy Spirit. They are the rollers, movers, and shakers. People don’t just look at them to take pictures and decorate their houses. Rather, they want what they have. What do they have? They have Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, and they should be pointing to Jesus Christ by the lives they lead. That’s your key. It’s not looking at me and the beauty of me, me, me! It’s looking at Jesus Christ and all that He has done for a wretched and wrecked life I once had. It’s all about His saving power, grace, and love.
Today, ask yourself. Am I just decorated? All decked out as if I were the Duomo di, Milano? But then I am all shallow and hollow on the inside? No substance, No miracles of God to show and tell. No testimony to talk about. People walk in and out of my life and I deposit nothing into their lives? As I profess to know a God that is real, powerful, filled with wonder and awe, a life-changing God that forgives sin, cleanses us of all unrighteousness, calling us His children, granting us eternal salvation as sons and daughters. Who heals all our diseases, sicknesses? Both physically and emotionally. As He radically changes bad and destructive habits, ideas, and mindsets, turning our minds into the mind of Christ. Who loves us with an everlasting, compassionate, and consuming love. Who has dreamed for us a life well lived for Him? A life of fulfillment in every possible way. Created to serve Him with passion, love, and determination.
God is not selfish. He desires to give to us that which we want. You see, those who serve God know that the passions and desires they want have been placed in them by God, to begin with.
I could go on and on. You should have clearly gotten the picture. To bring it home, here are my two pictures. The outside and the inside. Beautiful indeed! But Hollow and shallow on the inside. No presence of God did I feel. No powerful message I heard. No worshiping bringing me into the presence of God. And No presence of the Holy Spirit.
Finally, please hear what the Spirit of God is saying. Open your ears and hear. Open your eyes as see. Your spiritual ears and eyes that is. Let us not have these kinds of empty bodies walking around with clothes of silk and nothing to offer to the hurting people around us. Live lives worthy of the calling. Showcase Jesus Christ and the power of the cross. It’s all about that. Let the Spirit of the Living God speak to you and me today.

THE TRUMPET
Hosea 8:1 “Set the trumpet to your lips! [The enemy] comes as a [great] vulture against the house of the Lord, because they have broken my covenant and transgressed against my law.”
The message is a call to each one that will heed the call to prepare as soldiers would prepare for war. To put on the full armor of light so as to stand fully equipped against the dominion of darkness in these last days. The mandate is to equip and make ready a people for the soon return of their King.
THE BIRTH OF TWO DOMINIONS:
Let us begin right, in the beginning, before all time, to understand how we got to this point and to more clearly understand where these two dominions originated and this fierce war between these two dominions began. The dominion of light and the dominion of darkness.
Genesis 1:1
In the beginning, God (prepared, formed, fashioned, and) created the heavens and the earth.
Right in the beginning, before all time, God created the furthest reaches of space, the universe in its totality, and the ages of time and arranged them in order. He laid out the beginning from the end according to His perfect counsel and will. All things were perfect and complete in Him. Heaven and earth both being dominions of light as God’s glory and presence filled the earth. Heaven and earth both being kingdoms of righteousness as God was seen as sovereign and His law was honored. An age where God was to be worshipped as Holy, as the Highest, Creator of all things. There was none before Him and none above Him. But in time something happened.
Isaiah 14:12-15
12. How art thou fell from heaven, O, Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which did weaken the nations!
13. For thou hast said in thine heart, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will also sit upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north.
14. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the Highest.
15. Yet though shall be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
Ezekiel 28:12-17
12. Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, thus says the Lord God; Thou seals up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
13. Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the Sardis, Topaz, and the Diamond, the Beryl, the Onyx, and the Jasper, the Sapphire, the Emerald, and the Carbuncle, and Gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou were created.
14. Thou are the anointed cherub, that covered, and I have set thee so: thou were upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down amid the stones of fire.
15. Thou was perfect (blameless) in thy ways from the day that thou were created till iniquity was found in thee.
16. By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou have sinned: therefore, I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
17. Thine heart was lifted because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom because of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
Lucifer was created with the utmost attention and love. Every detail of his creation revealed the glory and perfection of the work of God’s hands. He was covered with every precious stone. The bright radiance of his perfect beauty captured the eye of all that looked upon him. He held a position of honor and authority upon the earth and all obeyed his every command. He was looked upon as one who was full of wisdom. But Lucifer beholding his beauty became filled up with pride and iniquity took hold of his heart.
Isaiah 14:12

Luke 10:18
And He said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
Lucifer counted the glory of God His Creator as something to be envied and attained for himself. He who God had given a position in His throne room in the very brilliant light of His presence. He who was anointed to cover and to whom worship came naturally. He who was to protect the glory of the Highest. He who God anointed and positioned to influence others to hold the glory of God in the highest respect and to worship the Highest and Him alone. He chose to treat the glory of God, something so sacred, with irreverence and disrespect. His heart was lifted because of his beauty and his wisdom. Who was more perfect than him? Who then should sit on God’s throne? Thinking that he the creation could become as the creator and take the place of the Highest. He craved to be worshipped as the Highest.
Therefore, iniquity was found in him, and he sinned against the Highest. He caused a rebellion to rise against God as he deceived many to follow, for this reason, God cast him out of His presence, and he fell from the glory of God to never be able to return or restore his position. Through this encounter, another dominion was set up, the dominion of darkness where Lucifer, now Satan reigns. A place where the presence of God and the glory of God are not revered nor respected. A place where the presence of God and the glory of God would not be found.
The earth became such a place.
Genesis 1:2
The earth was without form and an empty waste and darkness were upon the face of the very great deep. The Spirit of God was moving (hovering, brooding) over the face of the waters.
But God in His foreknowledge, knowing the beginning from the end had a plan to redeem the earth. In the beginning, God created the earth with a plan to create a place where He could dwell, a tabernacle with man. A place where He could have a people and He could be their God. A nation who would worship their God. A kingdom where the law of God and righteousness reigned. A city where there would be peace and life abundantly. A city where the presence of God would be revered above all and His glory filled all things. But God knew what was in man’s heart. He knew man would fall from glory into a state of sin and darkness. But God had a plan of redemption.
Genesis 1:3-4
3. And God said, let there be light.
4. And God saw the light was good (suitable, pleasant) and He approved it: and God separated the light from the darkness.
God spoke His perfect will, and counsel into being and said, let there be light. The moment God said, let there be light, He was saying, let the brilliant light of my presence bring light into the darkness that covers the earth. Let my glory be restored in the earth. Let sin be overcome so that darkness would be driven out for good. Let My Name be greatly revered and honored on the earth once again. Let me have a people separated unto me who will say that I am their God and I will be able to say they are my people. Jesus standing right beside the Father knowing the perfect will and counsel of the Father answered, “I will go. I will become one of them. I will be the vessel to carry the brilliant light of your presence to the earth. I will be the vessel to carry your power and glory to the earth. I will overcome sin in this vessel of flesh and destroy the power of darkness upon the earth for good. I will offer up my vessel as a perfect sacrifice to atone for the sins of mankind so that even man will be made vessels of honor worthy to carry the brilliant light of Your presence and Your omnipotent power and glory. I will reconcile man unto you once again and you will have a people set apart unto you and they will be your people and you will be their God. Father, I know what it will cost me, but Your will be done.” Immediately there was light and there was hope in the form of Jesus. There was the Word of God fulfilled in Jesus. The reason God said my Word will accomplish that which I send it to do. At that moment it was decided that Jesus would come in the flesh to the earth to offer up His earthly life as a perfect sacrifice as to crush the head of the enemy of God and break the power of sin and destroy the dominion of darkness. He would come to reveal unto mankind the life and the light that is found in the presence of God, to reveal the kingdom of righteousness and peace. To make known the very nature and glory of God. To make known everything that man had lost because of iniquity and sin but also to reveal the true state of a man being under the dominion of sin and darkness, no longer free but a prisoner. He was to be a light in the darkness to illuminate the heart of every man to reveal the truth which has been obscured by the god of this world. God approved the light that would come to the world. God approved Jesus and promised Him that He would send His Spirit to come upon Him to anoint Him while in the body of flesh to be equipped to complete the mission He offered to fulfill. Jesus would fulfill his mission not by might, nor by power, but by the omnipotent power of God, the Holy Spirit. God also promised that He would send His Spirit upon every man that would believe the message of truth brought to them through Christ so that they could also become as Christ victorious over sin and darkness.
John 1:1-5
1. In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself.
2. He was present originally with God.
3. All things were made and came into existence through Him: and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being.
4. In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men.
5. And the Light shines on in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it [put it out or absorbed it or appropriated it, and is unreceptive to it].
2 Corinthians 4:6
For God who said, let the light shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts so [to beam forth] the light for the illumination of the knowledge of the Majesty and glory of God [as it is manifest in the person and is revealed in the face of Jesus Christ (the Messiah).
Ephesians 1:18
By having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you can know and understand the hope to which He has called you, and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints [His set-apart ones].
Galatians 1:4
Who gave [yielded] Himself up [to atone] for our sins [and to save and sanctify us], to rescue and deliver us from this present wicked age and world order, by the will and purpose and plan of our God and Father.
The Trinity beheld the state the earth was in, covered in utter darkness as the presence and the light of God had departed from it, and the glory of God had lifted. God said I want to restore the earth to its former glory. I need a vessel to carry my light and my glory to the earth and be a light in the darkness to show the way back to my presence. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit working together would fulfill the plan of salvation and restore everything lost and reconcile man unto God. God approved the light and He approved the vessel that would carry the light. God separated the light from the darkness. This was an eternal separation that would never be reconciled. Thus, the two dominions were formed.
