THE TRUMPET
Hosea 8:1 “Set the trumpet to your lips! [The enemy] comes as a [great] vulture against the house of the Lord, because they have broken my covenant and transgressed against my law.”
The message is a call to each one that will heed the call to prepare as soldiers would prepare for war. To put on the full armor of light as to stand fully equipped against the dominion of darkness in these last days. The mandate is to equip and make ready a people for the soon return of their King.

Matthew 16: 13-19
13. Now when Jesus went into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, who do people say that the Son of Man is?
14. And they answered, Some, say John the Baptist; others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.
Satan, the greatest enemy against the truth of God’s Word will always obscure truth from man. He knows the only power on earth that can free a man from the prison that keeps them captive and in the bondage of sin and death, the only light that can light the heart of every man, the only light that can bring light to those sitting in darkness, the only power that can restore man back to the glory he ones held as a son of God, is the truth. Only the truth of the gospel of Christ can set man free, for only the truth exposes the lies and deception of Satan. The Scripture clearly states that who the Son sets free is free indeed!
15. He said to them, But, who do you [yourselves] say that I am?
This is a question that resonates until this day. This is a question that requires an answer. Who do you say that He is?
16. Simon Peter replied, you are the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Simon answered the question that clearly required an answer. The words just jumped from his lips as he said, “You are the one written of in the Scriptures, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because He has anointed me [the Anointed One, the Messiah] to preach the good news (the gospel) to the poor; He has sent me to announce release to the captives and recovery to the blind, to send forth as delivered those who are oppressed [who are downtrodden, bruised, crushed, broken down by calamity], To proclaim the accepted and acceptable year of the Lord [the day when salvation and the free favors of God profusely abound.] You are the One Moses and all the prophets spoke about. You are the Son of God, the promised Messiah!
17. Then Jesus answered him, Blessed, (happy, fortunate, and to be envied) are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood [men] has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.
18. And I tell you, you are Peter [Greek - Petros - a large piece of rock], and on this rock [Greek - Petra - a huge rock like Gibraltar] I will build my church, and the gates of Hades (the powers of the infernal region) shall not overpower it [ or be strong to its detriment or hold out against it].
19. I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind (declare to be improper and unlawful) on earth must be what is already bound in heaven, and whatever you lose (declare lawfully on earth must be what is already loosed in heaven.
Jesus reacted to Simon’s words of faith, “Simon you just declared me to be the Christ, the Son of God. You just made known your faith in me. My Father shined His light in your heart and truth had been revealed. Simon son of Jonah, I also now declare you are no longer Simon the son of Jonah, born by the will of man, but I declare you Peter, a son of God, born by the will of the Father and the Spirit of God. Your faith in me has given you the inheritance that is in me and you are now a son of the Father’s house. You now carry the authority of that of a son. You now hold the keys to the Kingdom of God. You have been given the keys to the Father’s very house. You and others like you carry the responsibility of establishing the Kingdom and authority of God on earth. I say to you, the Spirit of the Lord is upon you because He has anointed you, to preach the good news to the poor in spirit. He has sent you to announce release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind. To send forth as delivered those who are oppressed. To proclaim the accepted and acceptable year of the Lord, the day when salvation and the free favors of God profusely abound. While I am in the world, I am the light of the world but the time will come that I will leave this world and all of you will continue to carry my light to those sitting in darkness and the shadow of death and to lead their feet into the way of peace. As the Father had sent Me, I sent you. Your faith in me is the rock on which I will build my church and you and all that will believe are the living stones in my Father’s house.
