THE TRUMPET
Hosea 8:1 “Set the trumpet to your lips! [The enemy] comes as a [great] vulture against the house of the Lord, because they have broken my covenant and transgressed against my law.”
The message is a call to each one that will heed the call to prepare as soldiers would prepare for war. To put on the full armor of light as to stand fully equipped against the dominion of darkness in these last days. The mandate is to equip and make ready a people for the soon return of their King.
A MESSAGE TO THE SHEPHERDS, “I SEE HIM MAKING A WHIP!!!!”
John 2:13-17
13. Now the Passover of the Jews was approaching, so Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
14. There He found in the temple [enclosure] those who were selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money-changers sitting there [also at their stands].
15. And having made a lash (a whip) of cords, He drove them all out of the temple [enclosure] – both the sheep and the oxen – spilling and scattering the broker’s money and upsetting and tossing around their trays (their stands).
16. Then to those who sold the doves He said, Take these things away (out of here)! Make not my Fathers house a house of merchandise (a marketplace, a sales shop)!
17. And His disciples remembered that it is written [in the Holy Scriptures], the zeal (the the fervor of love) for Your house will eat me up, [I will be consumed with jealousy for the honor of Your house].
Jesus came the first time as the Saviour to all of mankind. He came as the Passover lamb of God to be led to the slaughter. He, the King of all humbled Himself and in lowliness; no trace of pride or self-importance were to be found in Him and in meekness; keeping His strength under control, He, the Lion of Judah, the one in and through and by whom all things were made, the One that holds all things by His power, the One who was appointed heir and lawful owner of all things offered up His life and paid the highest price so that all of mankind can be saved.
Luke 4:18
18. The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor, He has sent Me to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.
19. To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.
Before He left the earth, He gave His followers a very important mandate to fulfill. They were given the responsibility to continue His work on the earth. Our mandate even today has in no manner changed but remains the same. We are to continue His work by preaching the good news of the gospel of salvation to all who dwell upon the earth, to preach the good news of Christ to the poor in spirit, to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim release to the captives, and freedom to the prisoners.
Acts 1:8
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you: and you shall be my witnesses to me in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
The question remains, what are we doing? In the same manner, as the moneychangers and those selling in the temple, we are using the message of the gospel to enrich ourselves. Using the message of the Gospel to attain our own fleshy, lustful desires. Seeking after comforts and riches and after every other pleasure, the world offers. Building our ministries and empires. We seek fame and position as if the gospel and the anointing were something we worked to attain. We are living in luxury and comfort while those around us are suffering. We are so caught up with ourselves that the people around us remain spiritually poor and blind, they remain in bondage and prison. Those around us are broken and bruised and afflicted but we do not even notice nor care. Those we ought to shepherd and disciple suffer affliction from the enemy and they are not equipped to stand against these onslaughts because we are not doing the work we ought to. We are not fulfilling the mandate given by Christ because each one cares only for that which is his own and cares nothing for that which matters to Christ.
We act as if the church belongs to us with our programs and buildings with the best of everything. We build even bigger churches to hold more people only to attain more for ourselves. We do not even notice the lost, broken, fearful, and hopeless people around us. We only see greater numbers and more financial gain to further our selfish ambitions. And we dare to think that God is in our midst! We dare think that God is okay with all of this going on in His house! We dare to say that we are blessed by God while the people in our churches are dying and going to hell! We dare to do all of these things without any fear for a holy God and a Father that had to see His beloved Son die on a cross so that salvation could come to all. We do not fear the One who paid with His life to build His church. The One who is the Head of the church. The one who loves His church more than Himself and who said the zeal for my Father’s house eats me up.
We use the anointing to enrich ourselves and to demand honor from those around us. In the same manner, as those that sold the doves, we sell the anointing of the Holy Spirit and we dare to think that God is okay with this! We think that He will remain to turn a blind eye. I have come to warn those that will hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to the church. I see Jesus, He is busy making a whip, and very soon He will visit His Father’s house. The Lion of Judah is about to roar. He is coming as the head of His church and He is coming to clean house. In the past, He has let the ignorance of men go unnoticed but no longer will He allow this. He has been patient but now He commands every man to repent and to judge themselves as to not be judged as well as to clean their house before He comes in His Holy anger to clean it for them. He is coming to upset those who have turned His Father’s house into a market place and He is going to scatter everything they gained by selling the anointing. If we would judge ourselves we will not be judged! Shepherds we need to honor the house of God once more and it begins with us. The glory of God has left the house of God but if we will repent and turn back to God His glory will fill the house of God once again.
