WHY DOES GOD ALLOW BAD THINGS TO HAPPEN? PART 2

VOICE OF HOPE

20 July 2022

There are different reasons why God allows bad things to happen and the one reason I would like to bring to your attention which the Holy Spirit revealed unto me is the reason to bring about a harvest.

Let me explain. In Jeremiah 29:11 the Scripture reveals unto us the heart of God and His will for mankind, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to give you a future and a hope.” How did God bring His will into fulfillment? The answer is given in John 12:24, “Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.” It required the death of Jesus to bring about a harvest of men and women that would have hope and a future. Because Jesus was willing to lay down His life many will be saved. Did Jesus do anything wrong to have to suffer the way He did? Certainly not! Did Jesus deserve to die such a shameful death on the cross? Certainly not! But Scripture clearly states that God allowed these "bad" things to happen to Jesus because out of this, hope came to us! God at times allows us to experience bad things because He uses these things to bring about hope to others. A seed was sown unto death, a sacrifice was made which brought about a harvest.

Luke 10:2 He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field

We are living in the hour of the greatest harvest to come into the kingdom of God but it will require men and women who are willing to sow their lives unto death to see a harvest of souls come to Christ. So, in these last days at the time of the greatest harvest the world has ever seen God is asking each of us will you sow your life and allow me to take you through “bad” things so that through that many will come to know me? Will you be willing to, like Jesus, deny yourself and suffer for the sake of the kingdom of God? Will you humbly submit your life and die to yourself to see souls saved? The reason Jesus said that the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few is because there are few who will sow their life unto death to see the harvest come in. They will work in the field of God but only if it will not cost them anything. Jesus said “If any man wills to come after me, and follow me, and do what I did, he must deny himself and follow my example in living and in need be in dying also.
